On 15th December 2008, I received a mail through a friend, which contained a picture of President Chavez, he was writing on a mural. On the picture you can clearly see what he was writing. A political statement, common and meaningful in his speeches, but with a twist connotations, a spelling mistake. In the sentences you can read "felisidad" which should be "felicidad". At that time I didn't pay to much attention, but was clear to me that a silly mistake like this portrait a man with low cultural level. Something that you would never expect from a man that is leading a nation.
Just by chance I found recently in 2010, the same picture, but without the spelling mistake. That immediately brought my attention on what really happens that day on the mural. With the help of three photographs, taken from different angles on the president writing the same statement, I understood what was happening. A very fine Photoshop, or any similar software, had created a spelling mistake where it wasn't.
The three photograph came from official sources like marcosdiaz.psuv.org.ve and radiomundial.com.ve, as well as the international opposition like ELPAIS.com. All of them shows the same text without that spelling mistake.
You might have you own conclusion of what this means. In my opinion, is a deliberate intention to harm the image of President Chavez.
